ARod's hit last night - talk about a game changer |
Lead | ||
|
I started praying for QB when I saw it. Before that, when the Yankee ran past second base and onto third because he saw nobody on third covering the bag why
didn't the second base guy try and run him down and tag him? But I can't remember if there was a guy on first so maybe that was why he didn't leave
second and chase the guy.

waited; Let us rejoice and be glad in His salvation." (Isaiah 25:9)

I think Damon simply was able to out run the 2Basemen.
Either sloppy or a mental breakdown under pressure. Closers are like DH's really. Even Rivera can't hold a runner on base. It's just that he let's alot fewer on base for folks to recognize it. Although that's what the Sox's did to him a few years ago. It was painful to watch. It's looking better right now, but they still have to win at least one without Lee on the mound.

my ex-classmate Johnny Damon (we intended Dr. Phillips High, class of 1992).
He was the real game changer. By being at third base, that forced the pitcher to go away from the sliders, which tend to be low (for fear of wild pitch). So he had to throw fastballs which were the types Alex hit well. |

How did he pitch so well after three days rest? | #3 | ||
|
I only watched about one inning but whoever the Yankee pitcher was, they asked one of his teammates afterward how he managed to pitch so well after three days rest. I thought maybe because he had three days rest. Give me a break QB! Is major league pitching so specialized that someone may have a hard time coming back and pitching again after three days rest? "And it will be said in that day, "Behold, this is our God for whom we have waited that He might save us. This is the Lord for whom we have
waited; Let us rejoice and be glad in His salvation." (Isaiah 25:9)
